alive & well

I'm definitely alive and well, but I was mostly referring to my determination to get into medical school. And that determination is alive and well because of messages like the one above that I received from my best friend yesterday. Totally unexpected but totally appropriate! She sure does know how to tug at my heart a little, and give me a pinch in the butt when I need it most. But that's what best friends are for, after all. Well, that and finding you a future husband, but that's another story.

Ok but seriously, I am alive and well, God-willing. We're nearing the end of fall term this week and finals are quickly approaching. Which means my MCAT is quickly approaching, which means I'm beginning to feel the pressure in an overwhelming way and have been hitting the books non-stop (sometimes I actually do hit them). And with all the Holiday festivities mixed in with my study time, I've been a busy & tired girl. So thanks for being so patient with me while my presence around here has been sparse. Not going to lie, but it will probably continue this way for awhile. I just want to be able to come back to this place with good news (earning a good MCAT score, submitting applications on time, etc). And I know that I know that you want that too, because that's what this blogging community is so good at - cheering each other on and supporting one another in whatever direction life takes us, even if that means having to lay low in the blogging world for awhile.
